Weyermann – Special Carafa T1 1kg

Weyermann® Carafa® Special Type 1 is a dark-roasted specialty malt made from high-quality spring barley. Where malt-based bitterness is not desired, Weyermann® Carafa® Special Type 1 is a  perfect fit.  As the de-husked version of Carafa®, it produces rich colour, body, flavour and aroma without the harsh flavours and astringency typical of dark-coloured grains.

Sensory: finely roasted aromatic; coffee, cocoa and dark chocolate notes.

Special malt for all dark beer styles, typically for:

• Weissbier; Dunkel Weizen, Weizenbock
• German Ale; Altbier
• Brown Ale; British Brown Ale, American Brown Ale
• Strong Ale; British Strong Ale
• Porter; Pre-Prohibition Porter
• Stout; Sweet Stout, Oatmeal Stout, Tropical Stou
